If dog food is bad for dogs than what should we feed them? Dog Sledding

What do you think is an odd name for a dog? I was watching the dog show on Animal Planet recently and they had a standard poodle on there whose name was Yes. I thought that was a rather strange name for a show dog. What do you think?

Well personally, I think things like Mark are kind of weird for a dog, but that’s just my opinion. Yes is a weird name too. I wonder where people come up with names like that!

    hmm kinda strange.
My last dogs name was Pekuh

Anything that is a human name is a weird name for an animal. Animals are not humans and should not be considered such.

I actually find the name “Yes” to be highly amusing. It’s totally weird, but in an awesome way.

Well….my husband wants to name our next dog Scroter.

I told him that there is no way in heck that I am standing on the back porch yelling “here Scroter! Come Scroter!”

And yet when he shares this potential dog name with his buddies, they laugh and say it is a great idea. So NOT happening.

That is strange! I have heard one called Bacon and Sirloin, those are kind of strange too. Yes is really strange tho.

Haha I can imagine a poodle being named that! I actually think it’s a creative name. I’m not saying that I would name my dog that, but hey! it beats Fido!

It is probably part of his registered name or abbreviation.

When I adopted my dane her previous owner had named her Mia & I left it. I got to choose her registered name so I made it – Moonlight in Atlanta – she was a blue dane & in her lineage had other names like Witchcraft & Warlock.

its not the dog’s whole name
most show dogs have crazy names

mine are standard poodles as well and one is named Brian, one is Gotti
most of mine have people names, but we named our Borzoi “Screech”
because he was lanky and geeky looking as a puppy, and he would screech alot

I name my dog human names…I guess my neighbor thinks I got a hoard of kids when I go outside and call them all in…LOL

Apart from being an uncommon name for a dog, Yes is not too add for a dog’s name. I think my puppy’s name was really weird. It was named Kitty (as a cat) by the previous owner. I find it hard to call a puppy Kitty.

Was Yes the complete name? If so thats a little odd but not much. One reason show dogs have “odd” names is to stick out in the show ring(IMO). A name that sticks out is more likly to be remembered latter on.
We had a dog named Now and Latter, her call name was Now and her daughter was Now and Later her call name was Nana.

One show dog we have is a pom name Lady of the Night. We call her Ni.

And our other show girl is Show me the cash, her call name is Cash, and her brothers is One Last Tango, call name Tango.

Now a name I thought was odd at first was a name my mom gave it to one of our girl poms. She called her Theory. mainly because her sirs name is Einstein.

I’ve known more than one dog who has ended up with a swear word as a name because of the trials of their puppy hood.

I had a seal point siamese cat named
Her highness Princess Ivory Seymour Butz.
We called her Cheza most of the time, but on occasion, she would only answer to her full name. Siamese are unique creatures. They were once worshiped as gods, and they have never forgotten it.
